Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker

Found the barn bokeh to be kind of cool.

Great photographs the last few days. You get to shoot birds that we do not see here, but you may keep the ground hogs.

I really like the barn as a back drop for the flicker, very sharp and super photo.

I just saw two of these lovely birds this morning. The pictures I have seen thus far don't do it justice. When you see it take to flight the flashy yellow show it puts on is really beautiful. I'd like to see more photo's of this bird spreading it's wings.
