Portrait of a Snapper

Rounding a pathway, I spot a Snapping Turtle about 15 feet from the waters edge, slowly making it's way back to the wet. I snap a few, but didn't like the angle, and not wanting to cut him off of his direction, I settle for some portraits. I found his eyes to be very interesting.

The Cukoo was in Texas at Paradise Pond, Port Aransas. My friend from Battle Creek, Michigan got a Black Billed there one last week. Sorry to answer you here but I didn't know how else to answer your question:o)Just delete this after you read it.

great images as usual, just wondering what lens do you use the most?

Thanks for the input guys...I have all Canon equipment, using the 50D body and the 300mm f2.8 Prime the most.

As REAL as he looks I'm just glad his mouth wasn't open! Wow! What detail and clarity.
