Things have been quite slow until yesterday. A siting of Cattle Egrets and a Little Blue Heron enticed me to check the location out, since I was about 30 miles away. I'm so glad I made the trip, as there were lots of hides for me to take advantage of, although army-crawling was involved, and sooo worth the energy. The Little Blue was not present while I was there, but 5 Cattle Egrets at pretty close range made it very exciting.

Great pictures of a beautiful bird.
Oh what great shots you got! The very first time I saw one of these egrets I was with my husband in Dominican Republic and I saw one sitting on top a cow! That was before I had an interest in cameras and birds! Wish I had gotten the picture.
Fabulous shots. These sure are good looking birds.
Blessings,Ruth

These are beautiful shots. One would think with all the cattle around where I live, we would see some of these Egrets. But I don't believe I've ever seen one. Nice work!!
Breathtaking!!! Wow!!!
Interestingly, another birder, I just met, told me he saw two of these birds at his farm..among his dairy herd!! I wasn't picturing a bird of this size!!! They are quite striking with that long reddish brown plumage! ..and, of course, you did a wonderful job of capturing them with your camera!!
Beautiful shots! I would like to see them again in France, I could see them every day when I lived in Camargue, and I missed them a lot!!!
Very attractive birds and good photos. Yesterday I came back from 11 days in Alaska and the Yukon and saw many birds, including eagles, but no egrets.
Great photo's Hannibal! I like the egrets.
