Coyotes

I went to an area that local photographers have been buzzing about lots of coyotes, over the past month or two. It was well worth the hours drive getting through one of Chicagolands busiest suburbs to the place full of much needed solitude from the hectic drive. I saw 6 coyotes in all and got pretty close! The best part was seeing the expansive land they call home. A rare find in the middle of Illinois' heaviest populations.

Oh, I LOVE these! We have coyotes here, but we can never get close to them. Too many people shoot at them. These are just wonderful shots.

Getting that close to a coyote and getting pictures would be just sooooo cool! Did you know there is one in Central Park? Not the first either. Makes you wonder how..
Love your shots.

Hi Hannibal - I'll say you got CLOSE! You sure do find great places to go and find wildlife!
I've been enjoying your blog and all the pictures from your recent trip. And I thought about you when I saw my first sandhill cranes up close (but not in the wild ;-)
