Runaway Buck

Here is another buck captured over last weekend...

He didn't pose for long...

I always enjoy seeing them leap...

They are built for maneuvering, just check this out...

This capture was very exciting for me, as he leapt AND ducked at the same time...

One last look at the camera from a safer distance!

Hi,
I love the second and fourth shot... he did not pose long but these running shots are beautiful. I'm amazed by the beautiful light you are getting on these shots! Congrats !

I think my favorite is the first.. the 'look' but the running shot where his legs are actually up to his belly is amazing too. When you consider the weight and size of a big buck that IS amazing. Great shots Hannibal

I've been following your blog for about a month and a half and I am just amazed at how you can get such wonderful photos of animals. But these new action shots take the cake. If you don't have any magazine covers I'm sure you will be getting one soon.

There is something that just gets my heart pumping when I see a picture of a buck jumping, that has got to be my favorite pose.

Great action shots Hanniabal!

It simply is amazing what these animals can do and what small places they can go through with speed. I was simply amazed one evening last summer when I watched an adult doe jump through a high-tensile woven wire fence on our farm. The mesh size was 8" high x 12" long. I would never have dreamed she could fit through it but she did it with ease instead of jumping over.

I love this sequence and the photos of the drop-tine in the previous post are extremely impressive.

Buck sightings have really declined here since hunting season came in, but I can still see some beautiful bucks by visiting your blog and they are much bigger than anything we have here.

The capture of this fellow leaping and ducking at the same moment is just incredible! And I've NEVER seen a picture like it - you need to send these pictures somewhere for publication - you are becoming a master in the art of the big buck!
