It's been hit or miss lately, and trying not to give up hope on a not-so-productive rut season, I ventured out very early on both weekend days. Saturday didn't warrant anything worth shooting, and foggy conditions didn't help matters, but sunday was a completely different story. I first encountered this new and handsome couple.
Aren't they cute?
They pose beautiful together...
She's just a tad bit shy...
And one last one of just the stud.
More to post about tomorrow, as the sightings didn't end here...

Wow yes hey are cute and very impressive!! These are superb shots, and you got a very nice seasonal light on them! Gosh they are perfect shots. I love them!

Just beautiful photos! The last one is stunning. Good work.
Quite the impressive couple!
Glad to see your shooting is heating up some. Ours here has went stone cold for the moment. It really looks as if our rut has ended.
Classically beautiful whitetail photographs. I also love the background in these photos. Shenandoah National Park has excellent backgrounds too, but sometimes they can be hard to find here or in Cades Cove in Tennessee (Great Smoky Mtn. National Park) I went there several years in a row during the early 2000s and a lot of the meadows had grass that was too tall to photograph in while a lot of them were close mowed Kentucky 31 type grass.
Beautiful pictures!
