Swallows

Swallows love barbed wire! Or... maybe they love the lands they surround! I don't know, but it sounds reasonable, so finding swallows can be pretty easy if you know where to look. Here are a few found on a particularly good day:

Adult Barn Swallow

Northern Rough-winged Swallow

Juvenile Barn Swallow

Nice captures! So clear, and muted backgrounds.

Absolutely great pictures. I'm beginning to think you are another of my favorite blogs that just can't take a bad pictures. I know, for every one we see there are 20 we don't see but I'm sure happy to see the ones you keep.

Super pictures. Great detail right down to the little web on the fence.

Positively pea green with envy over that adult barn swallow pic. When I'm out brush hogging they swoop and dive along with me all day. It's a feast for them. I don't think I've ever seen one sitting still. Really...just a great shot.
