Finally... Some Fall Colors!

The blazing autumn colors have finally arrived here in northern Illinois! It took a whole lot of miles and the whole weekend, as I drove from county to county to find the beauty, and trips to parks I haven't been to in awhile, searching for the golds, reds, and orange hues of Fall.

I couldn't find any of the "babbling brooks" we all love to photograph, but...I am still on the hunt!

Just beautiful! I love the yellow leaves! And what a great path to take a walk down...

You do have color! I think ours are mostly going to fall before we get much color - I never remember it happening this way before. The maple leaves are just perfect!

Beautiful photos! I really like the one taken at McKinley Woods, where the person is sitting on a bench, her purple jacket is such a nice contrast (opposite on color wheel, wonderful) to the stunning yellow foliage. Nice!
Thanks for sharing!

Your color is spectacular and I especially like the view of Tandem Lake....this one is picture perfect and should be framed. Thanks so much for sharing the fall beauty with us.
