Long-eared Owl

2012 is being very very good to me so far! All I have to show so far are my favorites--OWLS!!!!! This LEO was my second subject of the new year, coming in behind the Snowy! In third place is the Short-eared Owl which I shot a few hours after this guy! How can I top this? Easy: Saw-whet, Great Gray, Northern Hawk Owl, etc. Easy to list, not so easy to capture! (But I'll try...)

Wow excellent shots and I'm happy 2012 is good for you. Over here we need to see this nice snow cover to melt if we want to see something ;-)

Love Owls too. I'm seeing my share of Snowies. 4 more today! I was looking back in my archived files, and the last time we saw Snowy Owls was 2006! So I'm enjoying seeing them. They spook easy though.

That owl is beautiful. I have only seen one owl while I was hunting and it had landed in the tree right next to me. I literally thought I was going to be breakfast.

Any deer pics coming up? I would buy prints for those.

Hey Rick,

Anything you want I can set up for purchasing if I haven't already. But to answer your question, I haven't seen any deer lately. Bucks anyway...

I have not checked in here for a while since I thought it was getting boring, but the last several posts are good quality so I guess I will add you back to my daily bloglist. You deserve it my friend :)

Whoa!!! Like the Barn Owl for you....this would be one of the Owls on the list along with the Snowy Owl to see in the wild and capture on film.
