I was caught off guard spotting this crazy colored game bird from a distance. I didn't know what it was. As I approached closer, I was thrilled to see a juvenile pheasant coming into color.

Great shot Hannibal! He is one scraggly looking bird but he will be beautiful in a few weeks.This is something we never see here in my neck of the woods as the only pheasants we have are adult birds stocked for the fall hunting season.
