The Perfect Storm Every Afternoon in Florida

It's not always perfect in paradise! It stormed every afternoon, but it wouldn't last long. We planned for it each day, and coordinated our schedule around them.

We watched this storm roll in, parked at a beach and saw these pelicans ride it out. You can see the palm trees in the background blow in the forceful winds.

I guess it is always dinnertime for pelicans...

...and terns.

Kind of hard to take pictures in these conditions, inst' it? But you did it well with nice subject. I would love to see pelicans!

Don't you love how those pelicans dive into the water like torpedos!! You really caught the mood of this storm in your photos..that water looks quite rough..

All excellent images but the first one is incredible! You captured the power of the storm perfectly.

My brother Willard (pa wildlife photographer) told me to stop by your excellent blog and I'm glad I did; you work is beautiful!

Extremely dramatic images. The background in the first and second images really contributes to the mood of the storm.
