Dirty Birds!

Finding this tiny stream was like finding gold. With the temperatures well below freezing for weeks, finding a fresh water source is tough for the birds. This spot was like a magnet, bringing in cardinals, sparrows, juncos, and even a flicker. Here's what I captured yesterday under clear blue skies:

What wonderful photos. I can't get over the fact that they were bathing in the water with it being as cold as it is. They look like they are having a blast out there.

Guess you can call them "Polar Birds". I'm cold now.

I think one of the most lovliest bird scenes I've ever seen! Love seeing them bathe & drink together and it looks like they didn't mind the sparrow joining them. I think these should be notecards too!!

Great shots, I guess not to many heated birdbaths out there.
