More Hummer Shots

I finally took some action shots of the Ruby-throated Hummingbirds at my feeder over the weekend under the bright and sunny sky. All of the shots are of juvenile males. You can tell by the faintly dotted throats, that will soon become their namesake.

This first one is my favorite, only because it is feeding from mother nature instead of me. I prefer natural shots...

This one is a favorite because he looks quite animated.

And I like this last one because of the detail. Click to enlarge and see!

I'm like you in that I like the natural backgrounds, but the other shots are good too. That last one has amazing detail.

Also I never saw a squirrel colored like the one in your previous post. Very interesting!

Exquisite! I like the natural backgrounds too, but rarely get those shots. Wonderful captures, Hannibal.

Yes, I like the first shot also..very nice..post card quality and such nice composition...soon our little hummers will be moving on.. :( but the butter rumps should be arriving soon..so that will make me smile again.
I love your post on the blond squirrels..do they really have more fun??

I totally agree with you about the natural shots and that first shot is absolutely incredible! Shots like this very very seldom happen!

Lovely Hummers :-) I haven't had any in my backyard all year, but have seen a few here and there.

I like the background in #1 much better but must agree that #2 is a million dollar pose...fantastic shot!

The detail in all three of those pictures is wonderful. I especially liked how she was "posing" in No. 2...
