Whitetail Doe

Whitetail Doe, originally uploaded by Hannibals Animals.

A close encounter with a hungry doe. I can only imagine she has a fawn hidden nearby, as the season for newborn fawns is here.

  1. You got it just at the right moment. Beautiful picture, well done. Except reindeer which are far in the east, we do not have deer over here...

  2. A beautiful photo as always. I agree that she probably has a fawn hidden. I am seeing more and more of them, but I did see one doe this past week that was still obviously very pregnant. I had two come in this morning, but only one gave me an almost perfect opportunity--just a few strands of grass in the wrong place.

Commenting on the new photo, I must say you've really hit it very well. It is really beautiful. My recordings are usually made when either nothing or rather distorted what I found very sad. 6. Well...

If the Moon were in the 7th House and Jupiter was aligned with Mars, it would be a fawn the age of Aquarius!
