Found this Sharp-shinned Hawk off in the distance. He slept, fluffed, yawned & scratched for my enjoyment. I thought he was a cooper before processing, but to my untrained, long-range eye, I found out he was a Sharpie! A first!
Wonderful photos! We haven't had any in our backyard this winter, which rather surprises me. We did see a half dozen Bald Eagles yesterday though on a drive to my brother's house. Too far away for decent pics though.
I just love the last picture...His expression, his eye, and his leg up in the air. Wonderful. I have one that hangs out in my yard but I've never gotten pictures as nice as yours... Great captures.
