Sunday, just before sunset brought a few big bucks out of cover. I find sunset to be the best time to catch them out in the open.
This guy is quite handsome, isn't he?
He was hanging with his "wingman", who wouldn't oblige me in an unobstructed shot. He's shy in that way, I guess.
Here is the shy guy, who finally graced me with a cleaner shot. This guy seems to be a bit older with a bit more white around the eyes and snout.
Not the best shot, but since he was captured in the lot, I included him. All 3 bucks shown here are 8 pointers. The top photo in my opinion had the nicest antlers, extending past the ears quite a bit and reaching high above...

Very beautiful animals, when I was younger I hunted the Adirondacks for the elusive buck but today all my hunting is with a camera.

That first buck definitely had a magnificent rack!
I do love these handsome majestic fellas with their beautiful racks. You hold your breath and hope they'll stay for the shot. You got yours and then some. Great pictures.
