The fir...I got to see them in NY from time to time. The first on was right outside my window! The second one stayed in our north country from Jan through May! He was on our May count that year. One of our birder friends who lived near where the bird was wintering became his "keeper" of sorts watching him regularly and at one Tim the bird landed right on his hat for a good place to hunt!!!
